GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Arts Council of Wayne County is hosting a youth art exhibit titled “One Community: A Tribute to Our Military and First Responders,” open to the public from June 27 through September 6, 2025. The exhibit is displayed in the Lou Ann Bryan Smith Youth Gallery at 139 W. Walnut Street in downtown Goldsboro.
This exhibit features artwork created by Wayne County students as part of the NC Freedom Fest Student Art Competition. Each piece serves as a visual tribute to the military service members and first responders who protect and serve their communities every day.
A professional artist from the local area selected the finalists from student submissions. These selected works will remain on view until September 6, coinciding with the 2025 NC Freedom Fest in downtown Goldsboro. During the festival, winners of the competition will be officially judged and announced.
The exhibition is free and open to the public during the Arts Council’s regular hours. Visitors are encouraged to explore the gallery, support local student artists, and reflect on the importance of service, sacrifice, and community.
