Donald Lister “Rowdy” Riggs Jr., 66, passed away on June 16, 2025 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. He is the son of the late, Donald Lister and Margie Helen Riggs Sr. Mr. Riggs had been employed with the North Carolina Department of Transportation as a fuel truck driver and was a member of Calvary’s Cross Pentecostal Holiness Church. He enjoyed hunting at the “Farm” or fishing at Phelps Lake or the beach, spending time with his friends, collecting firearms and musical instruments, but most of all he enjoyed his time playing the drums.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. at Calvary’s Cross Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Brian C. Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. at the church.

Rowdy is survived by his sons, Donald Lister Riggs III and wife, Amanda of Pikeville and Justin Riggs of Goldsboro; and brothers, Joe Riggs and wife, Suzanne of Greenville and Tim Gallant of Fayetteville
