Pikeville Police Find Cocaine During Court Order Service, Issue Felony Warrants

PIKEVILLE, N.C. — On June 13, 2025, at approximately 12:53 a.m., Pikeville Police Department officers responded to a call to serve a court order.

Resident Taken into Custody
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the resident, Brandi Griffin Waddell, and took her into custody as part of the service process.

Cocaine Discovered During Search
A search of Waddell prior to transport revealed a bag containing approximately nine grams of cocaine.

Medical Evaluation and Warrants Issued
Waddell was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital for evaluation. Subsequently, officers secured felony warrants for possession of cocaine.

Outstanding Warrants and Relocation
Authorities report that Waddell has not yet been served the warrants or arrested due to her relocation from the area.
