Goldsboro, NC — The countdown is on for Wayne County’s most ambitious Day of Action to date. On Friday, June 20, 2025, United Way of Wayne County will host its largest community-wide volunteer event, offering over a dozen hands-on projects that support local nonprofits and help drive positive change across the region.
This annual initiative unites residents, families, work teams, youth and senior groups in one purpose: giving back. With projects ranging from simple tasks like pulling weeds and assembling summer kits to more intensive efforts such as mural prep and dinosaur painting, there’s truly something for everyone.
“We still have volunteer slots open,” organizers announced in a recent call to action, urging the community to get involved. “Invite your friends, family, coworkers — let’s make a day of it!”
