Brayden James Franks departed this earthly life Friday, May 9, 2025 at the age of 13.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow the service.
Brayden was born in Wayne County on May 24, 2011 to Brandon and Krysanee Shivar Franks. He was a 7th grade student at Grantham Middle School who loved his Pokémon cards and loved to cook.
In addition to his parents, those who he leaves to cherish his memories include his paternal grandparents, Curtis and Elizabeth Lawhorne Franks; maternal grandmother, Kimberly Shivar; his brother, Kylen Franks; his sister, Jocelyn Franks; his uncles, Camren Franks, Christopher Radford also known as Uncle Crummy, Christopher James Shivar (Sabrina) and Stephen Shivar (Amanda); his aunts, Jessica Shivar and Shirley Bowman; cousins, Brea (Emmanuel), N’Dya, Taylor (Vontae), Grace (Ethan), Alyssa (Shaun), Jaimes and Caden and a host of other relatives and special friends including Jamal, Landon, Mrs. Ty and his bus driver, Mrs. Tammy as well as a special teacher, Mrs. Davis.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
