Wayne Community College to Celebrate 520 Graduates in Dual Ceremonies on May 13

Goldsboro, N.C.Wayne Community College (WCC) will honor its spring 2025 graduating class during two commencement ceremonies scheduled for Tuesday, May 13 at the Maxwell Center in Goldsboro.

The college will confer a total of 801 degrees, diplomas, and certificates to 520 students during the ceremonies, which will highlight the achievements of graduates from across WCC’s academic divisions.

The first ceremony begins at 10 a.m., celebrating students from the Applied Technologies, Business & Computer Technologies, and Public Safety divisions. The student address will be delivered by Michael Hines, who is graduating with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Accounting and Finance.

At 2 p.m., the second ceremony will recognize graduates from the Allied Health & Public Services and Arts & Sciences divisions. The student speaker will be Gabriella Carrasquillo, a student at Wayne Early/Middle College High School (WEMCHS), who will earn an Associate in Arts degree.

Both ceremonies are ticketed events, with each graduate receiving six tickets for their guests. Those unable to attend in person will be able to watch a livestream of the ceremonies on WCC’s official Facebook page.
