Dennis Earl Barnes, 75, passed away at Wake Med in Raleigh on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Born in Wilson County on October 12, 1948, he was the son of the late Bayard Barnes and Myrtle Ferrell Barnes.

Dennis is survived by his son, Brian Barnes, and his brothers, Kenneth Barnes and Danny Barnes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Barnes.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A graveside service to honor Dennis’ life will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Upper Black Creek Church Cemetery with Rev. Kelly Smart officiating.
