Willie Ann Rogers Davenport, 83, peacefully transitioned to her Heavenly home on Saturday, March 16, 2024. She was born in Halifax County to the late Tom and Katie Rogers on June 2, 1940. In addition to her parents, Willie Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Willard Davenport; brother, Tommy Rogers; and sisters, Marjorie Baker, Betty Lynch, and Helen Murdock.

Willie Ann was a woman of strong Christian faith and valued her time as a member of Princeton Baptist Church. She was most concerned with the well-being of her family. When she loved, she loved hard. Protective and caring, she was most content when spending time with her family

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Princeton, NC. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Willie Ann is survived by her children, Jasper W. Davenport, Jr. and wife, Wendy of Goldsboro; daughters, Linda Keller of Wilson, Kimberly Scholder of Rockledge, FL, and Winifred Ridings of Longview, TX; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Peggy Wooten, Marie Brown and Edith Edwards.
