Betty Jean Brock, 73, of Grantham passed away Tuesday at Wayne UNC Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Carl and Nellie Gray Radford Hoskins, and was married to the late Delma Ray Brock. Mrs. Brock attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a retired clerk for Wal-Mart. She enjoyed traveling, shopping for shoes and clothes, and spoiling her grandkids.

The family will have a private graveside service at Wayne Memorial Park.

She is survived by her children, Joy Brock Kennedy and husband, Jeff of Grantham, Roger Benjamin Roth and wife, Teresa of La Grange, and Tracey Michell Hoskins of Goldsboro; a brother, Jimmy Hoskins Jr. of Goldsboro; two sisters, Ruby Sites of Killeen, TX and Bonnie Hoskins of Ohio; grandchildren, Kaitlin Brock, Lauren Kennedy Gomez, Roger Benjamin Roth II, Ashley Wise Couch, Alaina McBride, and Brianna McBride and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 45 years, Mrs. Brock is preceded in death by, a brother, Jerry Hoskins, Carl Hoskins Jr., and Jimmy Hoskins Sr. a daughter, Holly Brock, and a grandson Daniel Keith Hoskins.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the charity of one’s choice.
