George Gabriel Griffith, 94, Goldsboro –
George Gabriel Griffith, 94, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
George was born in West Virginia on December 7, 1926 to the late James Patrick Griffith and Mary Fredericka Ebbert Griffith.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. George’s valor and skill was recognized with numerous decorations, including two Bronze Stars.
At his request, no formal service will be held.
George is survived by his children, Christine Liming; Geoffery Griffith, Patricia Childers and Amy Griffith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Rita Mary Griffith and a great-grandson, Vincent Nguyen.
