April 20, 2021, 91, Bucklesberry –
Edna M. Barwick, 91, died peacefully at Magnolia Cottage, Dover, North Carolina on April 20, 2021. She was born in Lenoir County, North Carolina to James Earl and Margaret Grady Measley on August 28, 1929.
She lived a long life and was blessed with good health until recently. Her passion in life was owning horses, attending horse shows, and “bossing” her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Malcolm Barwick; and sister, Charlotte M. Herring. Survivors are her son, James (Jim) M. Barwick, Jr.; daughter, Ivy Jo Albertson; grandchildren, James (Mac) M. Barwick, III (Maurian), Patrick Dayle Barwick (Molly), Justin H. Monsees (Erica); and great-grandchildren, Jessi, James, Scarlett, and Savannah Barwick.
There will be a private graveside service at Levi Hill Cemetery conducted by Pastor Robert Flynn. The family requests no flowers, but memorial contributions can be made to Hickory Grove United Methodist Church, c/o Stanley Sutton, 1832 Sutton Shortcut Road, La Grange, NC 28551.
