Esperanza Meza, 68, passed away at her home on April 18, 2021 surrounded by her family. Born on November 25, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Augustine Meza and Francisca Castanon Meza.

Esperanza will be remembered as her family’s leader. No matter who you were, she would do anything for anybody. Esperanza’s love for others came from her giving heart. Her hard work and sacrifice set an example to her family that will live on through them.

A service to celebrate Esperanza’s life will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. We respectfully ask those attending services to wear a facial covering and practice social distancing guidelines.

Esperanza is survived by her daughters, Adelita Cisneros and husband Adolfo Leon, Anselma Cisneros; son, Rafael Cisneros; grandchildren, Damian, Darrian, Mia, Jasmin, Victoria, Alicia, Marianna, Olivia, Darius, Isabella, Nelida, Darinel, Aldofo Jr., Daniel, and Dominick; great-grandchildren, Analee, Iris, and Renaldo; brothers, Jose, Alberto, Abelardo, Juan Gustavo, and Juan Antonio; sisters, Olga, and Teresa, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Esperanza is preceded in death by a sister, Maria.

Flowers are welcomed, or memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 in memory of Esperanza.
