Gwendolyn Denise Outlaw, 66, passed away Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of Juanita Brock McCullen, and the late Samuel McCullen; and was the wife of Rex Outlaw. Mrs. Outlaw enjoyed spending time with her family, making crafts, putting puzzles together, word searches, and making wreaths. When ever she went out and there was a Cracker Barrell around, the family always knew where they would be eating a meal. She attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Mt. Olive; When she left working at Wayne Manufacturing in the bundling department, she went to work for the Goldsboro News Argus as a delivery lady.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 3:00 pm at Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor David Smith officiating. Family members will greet friends following the service.

In addition to her husband of over 20 years, she is survived by her daughters, Angela Kennedy and husband, Jeremy of Pink Hill; April Tripp of Dudley, and Rebecca Dryer and husband, Chris of Mt. Olive; a son, Andrew Outlaw and wife, Ashley of Mt. Olive; brothers, Gary, Linwood, and Sammy McCullen; sisters, Betty Ann Lane, LaVerne Thompson, and Billie Jo McCullen; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a special friend, Charlene Matthews.
