Robert Glenn Capps, 62, of Princeton, passed away at his home on Friday, March 5, 2021. He was born on May 25, 1958 to the late Jesse Paul Capps and Sarah Hortense Wilkins Capps. He was also preceded in death by his sisters: Louise Creech, Mary Ann House, Hazel Massey and Pat Turnage.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11:00 am. at Fellowship United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5755 Rains Crossroads Rd, Kenly, NC. with the Reverend Donald Ray Massey and Reverend Cody Marks officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Monday, March 8, 2021, in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.

One of his early passions was playing softball with the Selma Hillbillys. He also enjoyed being outside and gardening and sharing many of the things he grew with his family and friends. He loved being a carpenter and helped many people through the years. He enjoyed fishing and especially NASCAR racing.

Most of all, he cherished any time he could spend with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Barber Capps; daughters: Melissa Capps (Richard Perkins) of Goldsboro, Stacey Cecchini (Chris) of Pink Hill, and Jessica Yutzy (Karter) of Winston Salem; brothers, James Paul Capps of Princeton, Bobby Capps of Hopewell, Virginia, Frank Capps of Hopewell, Virginia, and Larry Capps of Princeton; sister: Janie Taylor of Kenly; Grandchildren: Courtney Kyer (Jake), Savannah Brewer, Lila Yutzy, Kolson Yutzy, and 2 Great Grandchildren: Jamison Colt Kyer and Willard Jett Price.
