Wayne Country Day’s boys’ tennis team bested Freedom Christian Academy in Tuesday afternoon’s match 6 to 3.
The Chargers won four singles matches and two doubles matches.
Singles results are: Michael Geer def. Barrett Bolton 0-6, 6-2, 11-9; Max Young def. Bennett Canady 6-4, 6-2; Nick Covert lost 6-4, 4-6, 10-8; Jackson Geer lost to Kaleb Robinson 6-2, 6-4; Sahil Hogarty def. Ethan Hendrix 6-1, 6-1; Meher Hogarty def. Nick Hanson 6-6 (7-4), 5-7, 14-12.
In the doubles matches, the No. 1 tandem of Michael Geer-Covert lost 8-8 (7-4). The No. 2 duo of Young-Jackson Geer logged an 8-3 win. The No.3 tandem of Seth Moye-Thad Moye won their match 9-7
The Chargers (1-0 overall) next match is on Friday against Epiphany.
