March 4, 2021, 76, Goldsboro –

Claudia Ann Saratowski Bruce, age 76, of Goldsboro, NC went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 4, 2021. Claudia was born in Morehead City, NC on September 30, 1944. She was a faithful member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church and a dedicated teacher at Faith Christian Academy for 34 years. After graduating from the Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville, TN, she taught for a year in Richmond, VA before coming to Faith for 5 years. After 4 years teaching in Oklahoma, Claudia returned to Faith where she completed her teaching career. Claudia received the Laura Aycock Award from Faith Church in 2001. Claudia loved teaching and singing and she always had a smile. Her favorite Bible verse was Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Claudia is survived by her two children, Mitzi Wright and husband Kevin of Snow Hill, NC and Candy Corlata and husband Nick of Carpineni, Moldova; grandchildren Kyle Wright and wife Tessa, Kaleb Corlata, and Kasey Corlata; her sister, Barbara Howland and husband Ronald; nephew Ronnie Howland and nieces Ruth Ann Pavolonis and Stephanie Howland. Claudia was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Nina Saratowski.

Visitation will be at the Faith Free Will Baptist Church of Goldsboro on Monday, March 8 from 5:30-7:00 pm with the funeral service at 7:00 pm. Graveside service will take place Tuesday, March 9 at 11:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Christian Academy, 1200 West Grantham Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
