Billie Ann Burk Myers, 86, passed away to her heavenly home on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at home, surrounded by family.

Billie was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 3, 1934 to the late Walter and Willa Burk. The greatest gift was her love and devotion to her husband of 66 years and unconditional love for her children and extended family. Billie was a home-maker, and a dedicated military wife. A woman of great faith, Billie was a long-time active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Goldsboro. Her passions included baking, gardening, love of Emerald Isle, NC, animals and her spirit and joy of the Christmas season. Billie was an active sports fan, especially attending her children’s and grandchildren events. Over the years, Billie was blessed with many special, dear friends.

A rosary will be said at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home followed by a time of visitation7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Col. (Ret) James Myers; children, James Myers, Jr. and wife Lanette of Las Vegas, NV, Walter Myers and wife Marti of New Bern, Thomas Myers and wife Norma of Greenville, Raymond Myers and wife Michele of Greenville, Cynthia Bailey and husband Robbie of Wilson and Michael Myers of Greenville; brother, George Burk and wife Olga of Scottsdale, AZ; nine grandchildren, Meredith Staley (Britain), Tara Tadlock (Dale), Rebecca Myers (Michael Cheese), J.D. Myers, McKenna Myers, Weston Myers, Taylor Myers, Ashlyn Myers and Grace Myers; and five great-grandchildren, Aubrey Tadlock, Sean Staley, Elena Turner, Graham Tadlock, and Ryker Cheese. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family she loved very much.
