Rhonda Walston Honeycutt, 54, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Born in Wayne County on October 20, 1966, she was the daughter of Elsie Yates Walston and the late Ernest Phillip Walston.

Rhonda was the owner and operator with her husband of Honeycutt Construction. Everyone knew she was the boss and she loved to surprise her employees with an unannounced visit on a job site to check-in on their progress. Rhonda had a love for the water and enjoyed boating, fishing, and the beach. Family was paramount to Rhonda and her greatest joy was found in spending time with her grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 15, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Bishop Sheila Driver officiating. Interment will be held at a late date in the Eureka Cemetery.

Rhonda is survived by the love of her life for 36 years, Richard Honeycutt; her sons and their wives who were the daughters she never had, Hunter Honeycutt, and wife, Mandy and Matthew Honeycutt and wife, Keeley; grandchildren, Parker Honeycutt, Easton Honeycutt, and Leyton Honeycutt; and sisters, Tonya Smith and Michelle Walston.
