February 2, 2021, 84, Mount Olive –

Mrs. Alice Elizabeth McCullen Brock, 84-year-old resident of Mount Olive, passed away peacefully early evening Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center with her daughters at her bedside.

Mrs. Brock was a retired registered nurse with Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mount Olive.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 6, at 11 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive. Dr. Dennis Atwood will officiate. The family will greet friends at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro NC 27534, or to one’s favorite charity.

Mrs. Brock is lovingly survived by daughters, Elizabeth Brock Hood of Mount Olive, and Sherry Brock Garner and husband, Lee, of Snow Hill; and her grandchildren, CPO Zachary Strickland, Courtney S. Wiley and husband, Brandon, Brock Garner, A. J. Garner, and Parker Hood; and a great-granddaughter, Scarlett Wiley.

Loved ones who preceded her in death include her husband, H. Vaden Brock; a daughter, Janice Leigh Brock; a grandson, Matthew Hood; and a son-in-law, Brent Hood.
