Late Friday afternoon, firefighters from Indian Springs and a Wayne County EMS unit were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Emmaus Church Road just north of Pineview Cemetery Road. The accident apparently occurred when an SUV pulled out of a driveway in front of the pickup truck. The driver of the pickup had to be taken to the hospital for possible injuries.  Firefighters set up traffic control through the crash site. The accident is being investigated by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
