Peggy Daniels Lambert, 85, of Goldsboro, NC passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC.

Born in Wayne County on October 24, 1935, she was the youngest child of the late Charlie and Betty Bryan Daniels. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Allen Lambert, in 1978. Peggy worked and retired after a full career with Bell South Telephone Company. She was a longtime member of Oak Heights PFWB Church in Rosewood, NC. She enjoyed her family and traveling, and she was very blessed with many special friends over the years.

Peggy is survived by her son, Linwood Allen Lambert, Sr. and wife, Beverly Overton; daughter, Sharon Lambert Milton and husband, Kenny Milton; grandchildren, Linwood Allen Lambert, Jr., Tyler Milton, Carly Lambert and Drew Milton (RuthAnne Milton); and step-grandchildren, Brek Fox and Kristen Fox. She was preceded in death by brothers, Maxwell Daniels and Charles Daniels; sisters, Elizabeth Hughes and Mary Frances Harrell; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service honoring Peggy’s Lord and Savior will be held Sunday, January 31, 2021 at 2:00pm at Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro, NC, and a brief graveside service (weather permitting) at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley, NC, with Dr. Neal Thornton and Pastor Jimmy Newkirk officiating. Masks and social distancing are required. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
