Neuse River Falling After Days Of Flooding

The Neuse River is falling after several days of flooding conditions in Wayne County.  According to the National Weather Service, the Neuse River near Goldsboro had dropped to approximately 19 feet as of 5 AM Monday.  That’s in “Minor  Flood Stage” and below the crest of nearly 21.5 feet in “Moderate Flood Stage” reported on Friday.  The Neuse River near Goldsboro is expected to drop below flood stage by Wednesday.
