The State Highway Patrol is trying to reunite a recovered firearm with its owner.  A semi-automatic pistol (multi-colored) was found in a vehicle that wrecked on O’Berry Road near Dudley. The collision occurred on May 11, 2019 at 9:35 p.m. The owner may contact me Sgt. Jackie Benton with the State Highway Patrol in Wayne County at 919-344-0225 or through email at [email protected] within 30 days.  Office hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Sgt. Benton will need proof of ownership and serial number to release the firearm to the owner.
