Traffic Stop Leads To Pot-Dealing Arrest

On Friday, Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies were on patrol near Highway 70 in the western area of the county when they pulled a vehicle over for a Chapter 20 violation.  During a probable cause search of the vehicle, 45-year-old Dennis R. Mitchell, Sr. of Goldsboro was allegedly found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Mitchell was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Marijuana
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia.

Mitchell was given a $3,000 secured bond and he was turned over to the Wayne County Detention Center for processing.

    Chapter 20. He had a modified vehicle. Im having a hard time supporting the police when they brag about idiotic stunts like this. Truely transcends partisan divides. Based on this report there wasnt a single victim of any crime in that car until the cops pulled him over. Way to go
