Pennie Wallace Barwick, 74 of Seven Springs passed away Sunday, November 9, 2020, at UNC Lenoir Hospital in Kinston, NC.
Pennie worked in a number of Lenoir County schools during her career and those that knew her loved her. She was a member of Daly’s Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church. She loved visiting and spending time with friends, but her true passion was her family, and especially being a mamma.
A private service will be held at Daly’s Chapel Church.
Pennie was preceded in death by her parents, Whalen Wallace and Grace Tripp Wallace.
Pennie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Vernie Barwick; son Byron Barwick and wife, Susan; daughter Catherine Lynch and husband, Neal; grandsons, Connor Lynch, Brody Lynch, and Nathan Barwick; sister, Wanda Daniel and husband, Darryl; brothers-in-law; Neil Barwick and wife, Susan, Chuck Barwick and Aaron Murdock; nieces; Lauren Atkins and husband, Thomas, Riley Casey and husband, Mark; nephew; Matthew Barwick; great-niece; Wallace Atkins; great-nephew; Thomas Atkins; many special friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Daly’s Chapel OFWB Church, 5471 Liddell Road, Seven Springs, NC 28578, or the Seven Springs Volunteer Fire Department, 300 Main Street, Seven Springs, NC 28578.
