Margaret Jordan Grimes, 83, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at her home. Born in Wayne County on August 24, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Jordan and Glossie Mae Holland Jordan.

Margaret was a homemaker and a dedicated and faithful member of Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 10, 2020 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate her life in the chapel at 6:00 p.m. with Dr. Don Sauls officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Debra Howell; son, Marty Grimes; grandchildren, Tommy Grimes, Jeremy Howell, and Chase Howell; great-grandchildren, Hannah Crosby, Evie Grimes, and Xylea Howell; brother, Brooks Jordan; and her canine companion, Harley Grimes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Thomas Grimes; and siblings, Retha Johnson, Clara Lee Cherry, Tiffany Pierce, Wilton Jordan, Grace Edmundson, and Betty Grimes.
