Teddy Wayne McFatter, 68, of Goldsboro went to his heavenly home Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

Viewing will be held Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Due to our current COVID-19 pandemic, a private family graveside service will be held at Creech Cemetery in Smithfield.

Mr. McFatter was born in Wayne County on July 31, 1952 to the late Chester and Annie Mearle Dudley McFatter. He was a member of Baker’s Chapel Ministries in Smithfield and previously worshipped at Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro. He was a graduate of Rosewood High School and proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Following his military career, he spent his entire life as a long-distance truck driver and retired from Colonial Freight Systems of Knoxville, TN.

He is survived by two daughters, Irene Cheryl McFatter of Ramseur and Christy Ann Johnson and husband, Ronald of Trinity; one brother, James William McFatter of Four Oaks; six grandchildren, Breanna McFatter, Chastity Brower and husband, Davante, Kylia Fields, Katlyn Fields, Charity Johnson and Trevor Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Jacqueline Brower, Annslee Royal and Davante Brower Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McFatter was preceded in death by one brother, Chester Junior McFatter; one sister, Rita Ann Thornton and one great-grandchild, Adaline Royal.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
