Sarah Pauline Dunn Bailey, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Sarah was born in Edgecombe County on June 26, 1934 to the late Lemmie and Sally Strickland Dunn. She was married to the late Charles David Bailey. Sarah was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will always be loved by her sons and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Bill Rose officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Sarah is survived by her sons, Charles Wayne Bailey of Aurora, CO, Johnnie Bailey and wife Kenetha of Bailey and Kenneth Ray Bailey of Goldsboro; sister, Ruby Evans of Kinston; four grandchildren, Tracey B. Globke and husband Jonathan, Tyler Bailey and wife Megan, Caitlin B. Soto, and Karah B. Brasher and husband Robert; and eight great-grandchildren, Aiden, Jordyn, Baylee, Blake, Otis, McCoy, Arlo, and Etta.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kristi Schremp and four of her siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
