Lawrence Alan Kearns, 66, of Oriental passed away Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. He was the son of the late Merle E. and Phyllis B. Kearns. He was a 25-year retired electrician for Mt. Olive Pickle Company. Larry was a wonderful son, brother, and friend, and well-liked by all his coworkers. After retirement, he dedicated his life to taking care of his parents.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service.

He is survived by his brothers, David Kearns, and wife, Janet of Goldsboro and Rusty Kearns and wife, Katerina of Houston, TX; Nieces and Nephews, Chris Kearns, Melissa Kearns, Kyle Grey, Kasey Sander, and Boone Moody; and special friends, Lisa Moeller and daughter Kelly.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Pl, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
