Hannah Best turned in a 12th-place time of 25 minutes, 44 seconds, and helped Wayne Country Day earn a fourth-place finish in a girls’ cross country meet contested Monday afternoon at Wayne Country Day.
Teammate Gracyn Perry crossed the line at 27:41. Teammates Gigi Woodcock (28:19), Anna Stuart Freemon (28:53) and Abigial Breiman (28:55) took 20th, 24th, and 25th, respectively.
Brooke Finney led Faith Christian Academy with a 16th-place effort of 27:03. Fellow Conqueror Bailey Voeller crossed the finish line in 31 minutes and 44 seconds.
Wayne Country Day amassed 99 points, good enough for fourth among the 11 competing teams.
On the boys’ side, Wayne Country Day had one runner place among the top 25 runners – Shepard Cowan (22:01). Teammate Sahil Hogarty was 26th with a time of 22:53.
The Chargers recorded 99 points among the 11 competing teams to finish in sixth place. Faith Christian ended up in seventh with 235 points.
Hayden Voeller emerged as FaithChristian’s top placer, crossing the finish line in 22 minutes and 55 seconds, while Nicholas Kennedy ran the crouse in 24 minutes and 16 seconds.
