Friday afternoon, the Arrington Fire Department and Wayne County EMS were dispatched to the scene of a two vehicle accident on Arrington Bridge Road at the intersection of Casey Sawmill Road. Two vehicles sideswiped each other forcing this vehicle off the road and into a ditch while the second vehicle traveled about a quarter of a mile before coming to a stop on the shoulder of the road. Firefighters set up traffic control through the scene while waiting for law enforcement to arrive. The accident is under an investigation by the State Highway Patrol. No information on the patients was available at the scene.
