September 14, 79, Mt. Olive

Harold R. “Jimmy” Turner, age 79 of Mt. Olive died Monday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.  Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Thadious Steele and Inez Lane Turner and the husband of the late Daisey Jo Turner.  A veteran of the National Guard, he was retired from Bridgestone Firestone Company.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 1:00 pm in Maplewood Cemetery in Mt. Olive, NC with Mr. Timothy Turner officiating.  The family will visit with family and friends immediately following the service at the graveside.

Mr. Turner is survived by his children, Timothy Turner, & wife, Deeann, Allen Turner, & wife, Shelia, Tammy Jo Garcia, & husband, Brian, Wendy Turner and Sharon Deaver; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
