Nancy Garnietta Kearney, age 78, of 114 Fulton Road, died Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.  Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Bryant and Bertha Worrell Blizzard and the wife of the late Malcolm Paul Kearney, Sr.

A graveside service will be held Monday, June 22, at 2:00 pm in Wayne Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kearney is survived by her daughters, Ronda Kearney Wells and Nancy Patricia Allen; brothers, Gerald Blizzard and Wayne Blizzard;  granddaughter, Amanda Wells Deaver; step son, Malcolm Kearney, Jr.; step grandchildren, Nora Jackson, Christy Gurley and Ashley Kearney.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by siblings, Bud Blizzard, Mary Fuller and Ida Barfield.
