Carolyn Pender Yelverton, 74, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield.

Carolyn was born in Wayne County on June 24, 1945 to the late Daniel Hardy Pender and Irene Jones Pender. She was married to the late Paul Lee Yelverton, Jr. Carolyn attended Fellowship Church in Princeton.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Carolyn’s life at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Pete Radford officiating. Interment will follow in Rains Crossroads Church Cemetery.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Lisa Yelverton Driver and husband James of Kenly; grandson, Michael Driver; daughter-in-law, Pat Yelverton; and three step-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Paul Lee Yelverton III.
